STELLENBOSCH: PINEHAVEN AGRICULTURAL TRADING: INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL WORKS

The works/goods, as described, is part of the Agriculture and Land Reform programme for the Wineland district, Pinehaven farm, Situated in Stellenbosch, approximately 8 km away from Stellenbosch Town. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include supply of material, delivery and installation in CBD 4. The successful bidder must have the capacity to complete the works within 1 (one) calendar month starting 7 days from date of appointment.

SCOPE OF WORKS

ELECTRICAL WORK

The purpose for this part of the Bid is for the provision of electricity from the existing Eskom supply and to install a three phase connection intone of the existing shipping containers.

The main electrical supply is approximately 30 meters from the position of the new DB Board inside the container. Cabling must be laid from in trenches, minimum 700mm deep to be connected to a new DB Boards inside the Container (Office). Where the cabling becomes exposed, it must be laid inside 40mm UPVC sleeve pipes.

The contractor must allow for the following items to be installed:

  • Supply and install a surface mounted distribution board and associated switch gear and cabling.

GENERAL:

The above-mentioned scope of work is a guideline only and must be verified by a qualified electrician. Any changes must be indicated on the attached form “CHANGES MADE BY BIDDER”

Bidders are advised to thoroughly acquaint themselves with the nature and extend of work to be done, with the site conditions and to re-measure cable lengths and thicknesses as to what was provided in the document. The final positions and height of the light fittings and plugs shall be determined on site.

 In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:

  •  a functionality compliance test;
  • B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
  • Local production and content.

This bid include goods from a designated sector Electrical & Telecom cables and only locally produced goods, services or works, or locally manufactured goods with a stipulated minimum threshold for local production and content will be considered. SBD 6.2 and Annex C, D and E documentation apply and must be completed and handed in with this bid.

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 26 February 2019 strictly at 12H00.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name of the bidder and the inscription “INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL WORKS – BID NO. 272/2018” and placed in the bid box available at Reception of Casidra’s Head Office, 22 Louws Avenue, Southern Paarl.  No faxed, counter-to-counter courier, email or posted bids will be accepted.
