The works/goods, as described, are part of the Agriculture, Food Security programme for the Garden Route area. AFM Community Garden Project, is situated in Pacaltsdorp.
Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)

The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include labour and machinery. The contractor must be able to complete the work before the end of September2018.

Material will be supplied.
The contractor must have suitable experience in a similar type of work and must supply contactable references (telephone numbers).

• Rocky conditions can be expected;
• Falls from heights (Structure is 3.0m high);
• Risk of eye injury from flying particles and dust;
• Slips, trips and falls due to untidy work area;
• Sun exposure;
• Contractors except the work at own risk.

The contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions.

The scope of works entails erection of a fence 105(m) fence 1.8m high.

• Old fence to be removed new fence to be erected (105m)
• Height = 1.8 meters
• Minimum depth to which strands must be planted 0.6m
• Length of strands 2.4m 100-120mm
• Poles to be planted 4 meters apart
• The old fence must be taken down and poles currently on project must be replanted
• All the old fencing material remains the property of the project.
• All straining, corner, poles must be concreted.

The spacing and tension of strands in all existing fences must be checked and corrected if and where necessary.
Priority of work will be discussed with the successful bidder.

BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 15 August 2018 strictly at 12H00.

The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 7 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 60 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
1. A completed project bid for erection of fence (labour only) with all supplied CBD forms fully completed and signed.
2. A certified copy of the company's BEE Certificate / original Sworn Affidavit (please see CBD 5.1 which is applicable). Tax Clearance is compulsory and must be indicated as compliant on CSD for the principle and all sub-contractors.
3. Completed and signed PPP (CBD 5.1) form.
4. Registration on the CSD is compulsory and CSD Supplier Registration numbers must be supplied.
5. Fully completed, stamped and signed Bank Entity Form (Form CBD 7), unless the company banking information indicate "verified" on the CSD







All bids above R30 000 will be subjected to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and regulations, whereby B-BBEE certified service providers will receive a preferential score.
