GEOHYDROLOGICAL SURVEYS FOR CAPE METROPOLE/CAPE WINELANDS FOR LAND REFORM PROJECTS: FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT

Casidra needs to appoint a service provider(s) to provide geo-hydrological survey services to land reform projects in the Cape Winelands and Cape Metropole areas. The successful service provider(s) must be available as and when needed throughout their time of appointment. The contract period will be for a period of two years and will be in the form of a Framework Agreement, with a provision for fees adjustment in the second year.

Additional information on the specific site(s) will be provided to the service provider with each appointment.

The geo-hydrological survey report should include the following:

·         Conduct a site visit.

·         Determine the water sources for this project.

·         Identify potential drilling sites.

·         Once the potential drilling site(s) have been identified, briefly address the authorisation needed to drill a borehole.

·         Comment on the expected capacity of each site and whether the available ground water will be sufficient for a specified agricultural activity.
