GRAIN FARMER ON NEW WHEELS
Casidra recently visited Dipko Boerdery’s Winter Grain Project in Moorreesburg to deliver a new vehicle funded by the Western Cape Department of Agriculture (WCDoA). This addition is expected to enhance production and streamline operations, marking another significant milestone in the success of this remarkable agricultural initiative.
Founded in 2017 by farm owner Stephan Dippenaar, the project has grown into a thriving enterprise. The farm cultivates wheat and barley while also raising livestock, embodying a model of agricultural excellence. The new vehicle highlights the importance of strategic investments in fostering growth and ensuring the project’s sustainability.
“I am incredibly grateful for this new mobility asset. It brings numerous benefits, including improved transportation within the farming areas, better mobility for workers to enhance efficiency, faster access to essential resources, more timely animal care and streamlined feed production processes.”, said Dippenaar
Dippenaar also noted the project’s alignment with the Western Cape’s Growth for Jobs strategy. “So far, we’ve created two temporary employment opportunities, which demonstrates the positive impact we’re having on the local community,” he added.
Mulalo Nemutudi, Project Manager at Casidra, emphasised the transformative role of such investments. “Assets like these are not just tools—they’re essential for enabling farms to operate at their best. Reliable infrastructure and equipment save time, improve efficiency, and support scalability. For example, dependable transportation ensures timely delivery of goods, quicker market access and fast responses to livestock needs, all of which directly contribute to productivity and profitability.”
The success of this initiative is a result of the collaboration between Stephan’s team, the WCDoA and Casidra. Dipko Boerdery serves as a powerful example of how the right mix of expertise, resources, and strategic investments can propel the success of agricultural projects.
At Casidra, we take pride in contributing to the growth and success of such initiatives—because that’s what matters. with hard work, passion, and the right resources.
