GRADUATE INTERN PLACEMENTS X2 (12 Months)
This position involves the implementation of small agricultural related projects; project administration, assisting with procurement processes, coordinating of project meetings; maintaining of sound client relationships. The effective coordination of procurement for and implementation of community- and household food security projects, under the guidance of the assigned Project Manager.
This entails, but not exclusively; the legal contracting with beneficiaries, drafting of specifications, sourcing of quotations, compilation of tenders, advertisement and evaluation of tenders in accordance with the Procurement Policy and current legislation as well as appointing contractors, delivering of goods, quality control of the work, ensuring adherence to specifications and timeliness and the signing off the completed project.
• Graduates in possession of a Project Management or Agriculture diploma or degree (3-Year degree); preferably a valid code EB driver`s licence; computer literate (MS Office); willingness to travel; planning and organizing skills; attention to detail; willingness and eagerness to learn.
• Honesty and trust worthiness • cultural awareness and sensitivity • sound work ethics and an urgency to meet targets • proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
